Our U.S. correspondent

We left Ailish in the U.S. for a month or so, visiting relatives. She's going to be our eyes and ears there with the family, blogging (hopefully) and uploading her photos to Flickr. This one is from the lake next to her grandparent's house in Belchertown, Massachusetts. She has a knack of catching pics of insects, inadvertently. Now, if she could just take a few more photos of people...

It's very odd around the house without our eldest child, very incomplete. I keep turning around to tell Ailish something and she's not there. I'm getting a glimpse of what it will be like in the very near future when the nest begins to empty.
